Beautiful customers came along our way this weekend,

I had a good time meeting new faces

&

chatting about the horrible weather that

took over Melbourne.

Despite that, The Grand Final took place

on Sunday.

So, we opened our doors earlier

to receive our breakfast crowd.

We also had a pleasure of handing over

the weeks window display

to our beautiful customer

who looks great

in Blue.

I think its great that colours

are reappearing.

ps: we also painted our letters GOLD

Matea-New Designer

Designers can be inspired by many different things. Usually it is something they have seen. Maybe in the studio or at the book store or while waiting for a bus or sitting in a dentist's office. Inspiration can also come from a song or a situation or a great lunch. Whatever it is and wherever it comes from, it isn't inspiration until it triggers some kind of response and forces you to the drawing board. I have been surrounded by fashion victims basically all my life. My grandmother was a fashion designer/tailor. This is where my early ideas on fashion have derived from. When I began designing my first line of women’s clothing my inspirations had mainly come from many classy, sassy and classic clothing styles which have been around for decades. The idea for each season is to produce a collection of timeless clothing with classic cuts which will last a life time. When thinking about the colors and fabrics I should use, I decided to go with mainly Viscose / Elastane blends, Polyester / Viscose blends, silks and cotton Elastane blends. As these fabrics are flattering to the female body & most importantly comfortable. A designer should always think about the person who will use what they create. Although creating designs can be exciting and rewarding, it takes dedication and a great deal of hard work, especially when trying to break through such a competitive industry. However, when you see that first dress finished and more importantly see someone you don't even know wearing it around, all the effort is more than worth it. This is one of the best parts of being a designer. I am determined to be different from the norm. Designing and modeling my own clothes, I plan to bring a new era of fashion to the streets of Melbourne.

Seems like forever since the last update,
I'm back into enthusiastic spring fever despite the rather moody weather of today,
We manage to welcome many lovely customers during the day.

We have a lovely new comer in North Melbourne,
who has just moved from overseas,
Its good news that our display window caught her eye
&
she fell in love with the angora diamante black sweater top
teaming together with our diamante drop pearl brooch.
Just classic !

Next, is a student from up north Australia.
A lovely duo of mother & daughter who make their yearly
shopping trip whenever they can,
so happens that the winds
brought them to us
&
it was pleasant to be sharing
the experience with them.
Makes me miss my mum too!
Well, she got herself a berry coloured Mesop dress
that drapes over the front.
Great colour & will look great with tights or leggings.
The best part is you can wear it all
year long, it's light & it can be layered.

So, despite the weather that could torment your
shopping experience,
It seems to me it's worth while taking stroll out in
the friendly neighbourhood of North Melbourne
&
the quaint shops that give the extra
personality to this suburb.

Lets sing for spring time

Memoirs this season wants to paint every bit of town with colours,

Its all about being inspired by the new bloom that is coming to town,

Singing & humming to a tune despite the rain that falls so heavily on us,

With the special appearance of a photographer named' Miss Balqies Arafia",

Miss Vanessa and Miss Giana took this opportunity to spontaneously

whip up a mini- photo shoot of our gorgeous dresses,

We wanted to show our lovely customers that as fashionista's,

There s always a fun expression when making fashion your own.

Remember no one else can do this but yourself,

If you believe in trying something new,

We would say GO AHEAD and DO IT !

Life is too short, therefore go full force and enjoy every bit of it.

Walk Barefoot, be a mannequin for the day,
